How I became an NC Boudoir Photographer

It all started in my bedroom with nothing more than my phone and a dose of curiosity. There I was, experimenting with angles and lighting, trying to capture that perfect self-portrait. Little did I know, these amateur attempts would ignite a passion that would soon become a career.

One day, I decided to take the plunge and book a session with a professional boudoir photographer.

That experience was eye-opening! I was blown away by the artistry and empowerment that boudoir photography offered. I left that session feeling slightly obsessed, and by “slightly,” I mean scrolling through Instagram at 3 AM, devouring every boudoir image I could find.

The more I immersed myself in the world of boudoir, the more I fell in love. With a background in graphic design, photography, and cosmetology, I figured, “Why not combine all my skills and try my hand at boudoir photography?”

I dove headfirst into boudoir education, soaking up every bit of knowledge like a sponge. I reached out to some of my girlfriends, convincing them to let me practice on them. It wasn’t hard; who doesn't want to feel like a model for a day?

Their reactions when they saw their images were priceless—tears, laughter, and a whole lot of “I didn’t know I could look this good!”

Those moments solidified my decision to pursue this new career path. I’m now living my dream, helping people see their beauty through the lens of boudoir photography.

Each session is a new adventure, filled with laughter, creativity, and the occasional awkward pose (which usually turns out to be a favorite shot). - see above for example :)
